Today, Jagex stepped up and banned people that had clear evidence against them for Real World Trading. One big name that has been “terminated” from the game was Win All Day. It’s about time that scumbag is gone, he’s been making real life profit off of this game for over a year now. This post contained three different things that I’ve never seen Jagex mention or talk about. First, they mentioned and acknowledged a “dicing scene” within RuneScape. It’s a good thing they know about these gambling games that were created (I know they knew about the Horse Game and such because they changed the function of them) and maybe will put a stop to them in the future. Second, Jagex said that they had new “anti-cheat” and “anti-hijack” tools that will be fully implemented over the course of the next two months. Which is something great, because it really seems that they’re enforcing the rules now and won’t tolerate this kind of stuff any more. Third, in the final paragraph, Mark Gerhard said “We have started cleaning up the high scores over the last week and this will assist us in being able to re-introduce relevant gold farmer free F2P high scores again”. Which is awesome, they acknowledged that the high scores were filled with gold farmers and botters and now that they’re getting rid of them (which this is a hint at) they can put actual F2P players back on the high scores, where they deserve to be. Big round of applause Jagex, The community is already a better place because of this.
